Why Black and White ?

I very often get asked the question : why are the VERTU Hotels and Resorts and VERTU Hospitality logos mostly Black and White ?

As much as I love many other colors, I have to says that choosing the black and the white was an obvious and easy decision to make. Choosing black and white as the standard and basic colors for VERTU Hotels and Resorts is a powerful and sophisticated design choice. These colors convey a sense of luxury, elegance, strength, and neutrality, among other positive aspects and benefits. I also always remember a quote from Coco Chanel stating : “ I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony. “ . She was so right and the success of her brand demonstrated it very quickly.

Choosing Black and White is the best way to be totally neutral, delicate, strong, passive and active at the same time. Black and white are timeless and classic color choices that have been associated with elegance and sophistication for centuries. They create a high-end, upscale atmosphere that is perfect for VERTU Hospitality, Hotels and Resorts. Black is often seen as a powerful and authoritative color. It exudes confidence and is used to make a bold statement. In contrast, white is a color of purity and clarity. When used together, they create a strong visual contrast, representing the balance of power and purity.

Black and white are neutral colors that serve as a canvas for other colors or design elements. This neutrality allows for versatility in branding, as it doesn't overpower or clash with other colors. It also appeals to a wide range of tastes and preferences. These colors are immune to trends and fads. They have stood the test of time and will continue to do so. By choosing black and white, the brand identity will remain relevant for years to come.

When it comes hygiene, white is often associated with cleanliness and hygiene. In a hotel and resort setting, this is particularly relevant, as it can help create a perception of spotless and well-maintained spaces, enhancing the overall guest experience, which is our point of focus.

Black and white provide a high level of contrast, making text and visuals easy to read and interpret. This is especially important for signage, printed materials, and digital displays, ensuring that the branding is effective and legible. These colors work well in various design applications, from signage and branding materials to interior design and uniforms. They can be paired with other accent colors when needed, allowing for flexibility and creativity in our branding effort at the VERTU Group.

Over time, consistent use of black and white in the branding can lead to strong brand recognition. Our customers associate these colors with VERTU Hotels and Resorts, making the brand easily identifiable. Also, black and white are frequently used in luxury brands and high-end products, reinforcing the idea that VERTU Hotels and Resorts is a premium and exclusive choice for our travelers and visitors.

In fact, the simplicity of black and white can create a sense of minimalism, which is increasingly popular in contemporary design. Minimalistic design can convey a feeling of tranquility and focus on what truly matters, which can enhance the guest experience in our member hotels.

In conclusion, selecting black and white as the standard and basic colors for VERTU Hotels and Resorts will communicate a powerful, elegant, and timeless image while providing flexibility and a strong brand identity. It is a choice that aligns well with the luxury and sophistication associated with high-end hospitality that we do.
